White Oak
(Quercus alba)

Oak savannahs are an important part of our natural heritage and should be preserved.

If you believe that there are places of natural beauty and significance in the Fox River Valley which are worthy of conservation, please support our efforts.

•Make a major gift
Members of The Compass Circle help give Fox Valley Land Foundation both strong roots and positive direction through their donation of $1,000 or more.

Our Endowment Fund needs gifts of cash, securities, land and bequest. Ensure the future of the Fox Valley Land Foundation with a tax-deductible gift.

One of the simplest ways to make a gift is through your will. Bequests to the Land Foundation are entirely free from federal estate tax and can therefore offer substantial estate tax savings.
• Preserve your Land
Heritage Land Registry:
The goals of the voluntary registry is to conserve and protect the biological richness of the land heritage of our area.  The Registry wishes to recognize private landowners who are interested in conserving and stewarding their land for the benefit of the ecosystems and wildlife that are found there.  For Registry details and application see the links on the bottom of the Stewardship page.

Conservation Easement:
If you have significant natural lands or open space that you wish to see permanently preserved, but would like to continue to own and use, consider donation of a conservation easement on your property to Fox Valley Land Foundation.
• Help others preserve their land
If you know others who own land that should be preserved, talk with them or us about the possibility of an easement donation.
• Be active in your own community
... in planning for and protecting open space. Attend public land use meetings and influence the direction of development. Remind planners and developers that you care about open space and a healthy environment.
•Volunteer for restoration workdays

•Get involved on a committee

•Send us names
We know that there are many like-minded residents in the area that don't know about our efforts. We will send them a letter of introduction, newsletter and brochure.
